Never got busted for drugs or booze
Were sort of New Agey (Rasputin!)
Could ride horses
Did not allow stupid and/or insane Tsars to stay long in office

If you account for inflation they probably did, remember that by 1917 food supplies were so low due to the demands of the war that bread was having to be rationed. It was a bread riot that sparked the Russian Revolution.

Then again, the entire family was legally above the law so the point is moot.

Just to mention it you forgot that the Romanovs were more inbred than the Bushes, although given time the Bush family will probably top that.

2. Some of that was tongue in cheek

as to bread riots that was due to the fact that the rail infrastructure had deteriorated to the point that many of the trains with grain could not reach Petrograd (Hah! Got the name of the city right). If you have some additions to the list that might be useful, please add them.

3. I've never considered a Bush "Dynasty"

They're sort of a low-budget Medici family to me, only without the scruples.

but it does seem rather a petty one except the consequences of their actions are so enormous.
