New Plate Says 'One Nation Under God' - Ohio
A new specialty license plate will go on sale at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Tuesday.

NewsChannel5 reported the new plates pay tribute to Old Glory and the Pledge of Allegiance with the phrase, "One Nation Under God."

The special plates are available for an additional $10.

You can purchase the plates at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

5. So, where does the extra $10 go?
With some of the special plates, the extra cash goes to that charity/organization whatever. Who gets this extra cash?

10. This "seems" okay to me
Not being from Ohio, I would assume the extra $10 goes to the Secretary of State budget. And I really don't have a prob with people putting a plate on that has this saying, as far as I understand it's not mandated that all Ohio residents change to the plate design...

17. Yeah, it probably does go to the Sec'y /State budget
where it gets funnelled into the Republican party finances. This is Ohio.

14. Which god, I wonder.
They're all so very different. The Southern Baptist one, who likes the Iraq war, the Quaker one, who hates war, or the United Methodist one, who has a different opinion depending on whom you ask?

Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 10:57 AM by Rob H.
complete with bald eagle. At first I thought it was a religious plate, but the money goes to the American Eagle Foundation, which helps preserve the American Bald Eagle and its habitat. Personally I wish they'd left the "In God We Trust" part off, though.
