I need your help, please DU this poll

I know some of you don't agree with my position on gambling.

however, I'm the President of a local union that represents hundreds of workers at a horse track in boston, suffolk Downs.

We could lose hundreds of good union jobs with benefits and a good, blue collar living wage. My job and those of the people I represent is at stake.

If you don't agree, please pass on this. If you do agree, link on to the poll and please vote YES.

I'm against legalizing slots, period. Those damned things have the worst payout rate, and the cheaper the slot, the worse the payout. They're machines dedicated to stripping poor folks and elderly folks of money they can't afford in the vain hope of a big payout. The odds are never more with the house than they are with slots.

Besides, I can never look at a big room full of old folks playing slots without thinking of Skinner boxes.

No. I'm from New Jersey. But I went to school in Philly and my room mate (for 3 years) was from Salem,Mass...he taught me all about those 1969-70 Bruins!
Johnny "Pie" McKenzie used to talk about the GalleryGods...so I took it as a handle on here and other boards. Will Pitt, when I told him at a speaking appearance Pre-Dinner..was too YOUNG didn't get the impact.
