Can someone explain how the UAE is helping in the "War on Terror"?
Part of the explanation for the Port deal is that they're our "ally". Now, the last time I checked, they weren't part of the "coaltion of the willing" in either Afghanistan or Iraq. Didn't we say that France and Germany couldn't expect any financial benefits since they hadn't put boots on the ground? What makes the UAE such a deserving ally?

See? they really have improved!
Now, the fact that several princes still send money to wahabi-based schools in pakistan, just ignore that.

5.  That's where command central is.
In the beginning of the illegal invasion of Iraq, when the press was briefed, it was always at their Command Central in UAE. Not that that makes this ANY better. This is pure BULLSHIT. He's fighting his "war on terror?" and sells our ports to UAE???

6. okay - I decided to be serious - warning: strange site link enclosed:

In case you haven’t heard - and you probably haven’t - Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, just scored one heck of a good catch in the War on Terror.

Courtesy of the Emirate of Dubai, the alleged mastermind behind the attack on the American Center in Kolkata was arrested, handed over to Indian officials and deported. Aftab Ahmed Ansari - ne Farhan Malik - and an associate were put on a special plane last Saturday, and are now being interrogated back in India. It was the first extradition carried out under the treaty India and the UAE signed two years ago.

7. They provide funding for the opposition?
You know, you can't have a war without an enemy.
