5. I can't believe that many people

voted to make them illegal even if the mother's health was in danger. Or did I read it wrong?

I have problems with the concept, but sometimes due to terrible things it has to be done. Now, just kind of changing one's mind in the 8th month, I couldn't support, but I don't think that's the issue here.

You read it right. The issue before the supreme court is about not having an exception for life and health of a mother. If the pro-lifers were really pro-life, they wouldn't have a problem with that. But it isn't about life. It is about control.

"of changing one's mind." I'd venture further and say you'd be hard-pressed to find many women who would do this for that reason at that stage of the pregnancy.
