War, peace and ethics

Gary Kucinich's son, a 19-year-old private in the Marine Corps, shipped out for Iraq Wednesday, but that hasn't affected the 55-year-old congressional candidate's sharp dislike for the war.

"Our sons and daughters are dying in a war based on lies," said Kucinich, a Democrat running for the 13th congressional district seat. "It's chaos there now. We don't belong there."

Kucinich, younger brother of Rep. Dennis Kucinich, said opposition to the war will be the cornerstone of his campaign. But he is also focused on Capri Cafaro, the Youngstown shopping mall heiress who many deem to be the front-runner for the Democratic nomination that Kucinich and many other candidates are seeking.

Kucinich said in an interview in a Strongsville coffee shop that Cafaro has integrity problems because of her connections to imprisoned former U.S. Rep. James Traficant. If Cafaro is the Democratic nominee, Kucinich said, the Republicans will hammer her on that issue in the general election...

Kucinich's brother running in neighboring congressional district

CLEVELAND (AP) -

...Gary Kucinich, brother of Dennis Kucinich, the former "boy mayor" of Cleveland and current Democratic congressman, is running in the nine-way Democratic primary for the congressional seat being vacated by Sherrod Brown. Brown is seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.

Eight Republicans are running in the GOP primary.

Gary Kucinich, 55, who lives in Strongsville in the middle of a district that wraps around Cleveland's western and southern suburbs and past Akron, said Tuesday that he had discussed his campaign with his brother and won Dennis' endorsement. The district is to the west and south of the district that Dennis serves.

"I'm happy to have his support," said Gary Kucinich, a former elected Cleveland school board member and former Cleveland city councilman who works for a car dealership...

1. Good luck over there
Dennis Kucinich comes from a poor family. He knows what it's like to have family serving in the military and others just trying to get by. That's why he's a Democrat and why he is one of the few congressmen who really does serve his constituents. We need hundreds more like him.

4. Being a Marine is a family tradition
Dennis had some kind of heart problem, so the Marines turned him down. Same thing that knocked him off the high school football team. (I hope you didn't think that defensive linemen 3 times his size had anything to do with it) :)

3. Capri Cafaro has the chance of a snowballs in hell
She has run for just about every office and loses.
She is strident to say the least and smells too highly of the
old mob controlled youngstown.

8. Kucinich!!!
A REAL Democrat and a MAN of the People.

How many other Congresscritters or Senators have their sons or daughters in Iraq?

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.
