How dead is this UAE / Port deal?
Jimmy Hoffa dead?
Social Security dead?
al Qaeda's #3 man dead?
Abe Lincoln dead?

Seems to me that the * administration is trying to distance * from "the deal" using the
Sergeant Schultz defense. "I know nothing."

The bin Laden & al Qaeda connections to the UAE seem pretty firm.

Congressional repugs are bitching and saying no to this stinker.

And Snow's connections to this deal are getting some real notice in the mainstream media.

Prediction this deal will be DOA by friday.

1. WH meeting with Frist. A deal will be made.

Watch for Frist to say:

"I have been briefed about super secret stuff, and it's OK now. You have to trust your Prez in a time of war"

3. They won't override the veto
Unless Smirky backs down, which is a distinct possibility (remember, NEVER say we're sorry to China over spy plane, the SORRY, SORRY, SORRY?), the White House will find 26 Republicans to foil a veto override. This is my preferred outcome, because it will allow our new Dem president to get tough on seaports in 09. Something that should have been done many, many years ago.

4. The bush handlers are still trying to 'dress up and put lipstick on'......
this port deal, but I believe the American people might be finally waking up from their long slumber and saying: "WTF R U DOING??????"

5. Too late, W, - the enormous outrage has done it's damage.
Bushco is going down this time.
