Times too tough to donate to DU? Well, you came to the right place

I used to donate every time the grovelbot came around, but couldn't this time around. Sometimes posts get a bit snarky if you don't have a star. I wasn't surprised... but it still wasn't a nice thing to see.

People with low post counts get the same thing. Some of us with low post counts have been here for years. And even the newcomers deserve some respect. Everyone started out with a low post count.

8. but dont worry about that. a really fun thing, donation time, stars

appear on all kinds of peoples name who dont have the money to donate. i read a post saying about so many have stars. well a lot of those stars have been given. and will be next time around. the big thing, a star isnt indictive of being welcome, appreciated or valued, as the op stated.

donating. :( That's just not right.:cry: Sometimes people just don't have the funds for things like this. I've BEEN THERE, I KNOW what it's like. I hope everyone is embraced here...no matter what. Well, unless you're a FREEPER, that is. ;)

7. Without DU I would be lost. There is no better political news/discussion

site out there. I can't afford to donate on a monthly basis but I do my best on the quarterly fund drives.

I read a lot of the various sites but its always DU that I go first thing in the AM and the first place I go to for breaking news. DU is part of my life now and I couldn't imagine being without it. Really. I never thought a website could be so important to me (and I'm not even a well-known poster).

I guess I just gave my political internet virginity to DU. :blush:
