Does anyone else think AAR should do weekly segments with Mark Crispen
Miller and/or the people at Bradblog? It seems to me that we need a place where we can have knowledgeable people informing us as to what is going on with our voting. I try to keep up with what's going on but it is cumbersome. Randi is really good at taking complex issues and summing it up where even a simpleton like myself can understand.

Ed Shultz (I know, not AAR) and Al Franken first have to get themselves educated on the issue. Both are in deep denial.

We need to get a more consistent and concerted effort out there to educate ourselves and others.

I think my head will explode if I have to sit through another "what the Dems need to do and/or how the Repugs won" bullshit fest after the next election.

Any thoughts?

1. YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
I was trying to churn up some interest in a write-in/call-in campaign to AAR shows to get each one of them to promise a once-a-week segment on Election Fraud/Election Reform news -- there are tons of voting activists they could interview each week about the latest news from all of the states, from all of the investigations and court cases.

If you will lead, I will help!

3. Well, I suck at writing....any talented Duers out there who could pen
a compelling case for a weekly segment? How do we get signatures from Duers? I'm also sucky at the computer. I'm lucky I know how to turn one on. I swear it was Divine Intervention that brought me to DU.

I'm good at ideas...but I don't know how to implement them. HEEEEELLLLP!

2. I'd love it. There are a lot of voices I'd rather hear than Ed Shultz.
There could be a rotation of Joe Conason, Paul Krugman, Mark Crispin Miller, Molly Ivins (the list goes on and on).
Maybe hire a professional interviewer who would make the guests comfortable, say very little and let the guests talk. Like Robert McChesney's show, only not focused solely on media.

4. Sorry to have to make myself look dumb, but what have Conason, Krugman
and Ivins said about election fraud & election reform?

8. Krugman has written about it. I'd like to see Conason and Ivins take it on

And Moyers. I was offering own perfect radio show dream, a daily in-depth interview show with regular, rotating guests that included all sorts of heavy hitters, including but not limited to those discussing election reform.

Edit to add a few more names (all have written on election reform): Palast, Wasserman, Fitrakis, Lynn Landes.

5. Personally, I think Al Franken and Randi Rhodes should donate
15 minutes a week to Miller who could bring on the appropriate guests or just do all the talking himself! Al could go home 15 minutes early on Fridays, say, and Randi could come in 15 minutes late...I know, I can just hear Randi now....
What the Hell...don't these people know anything about radio....etc., etc.

No...we don't, but we know what WE would tune in to listen to FAITHFULLY!

I sometimes wonder why they all spend sooooooo much time telling us how bad Bush is...WE GET IT....EVEN THE REPUGS ARE GETTING IT...WE CANNOT VOTE THEM OUT! Why is there such a mental block with this? And we just don't want to hear any more about how the REPUGS keep "winning"!

6. I don't think they should donate the time, they should do the interview...
Each week interview someone on the issue...

I guess the steps including getting contact info for each show --
Email, phone, producer's name and contact info and then getting people here at DU to make the calls, send the emails...

I am overwhelmed with work this weekend...
