written by Dino Valenti, of Quicksilver Messenger Service. He lost the copyright to that song before he joined QMS however, when he was a folk artist in NY. The Youngbloods came from NY also. Somehow, Dino screwed himself out of his copyright to the lyrics for quick cash.

just heard a Quicksilver Messenger Service song the other day and it still sounded good.
Come Together is one of the best songs of all time.
Dino did not get compensation but he is immortal - who knew his song would be so needed AGAIN?!?!?
