DU Must see movie: "Orwell Rolls In His Grave"
Edited on Sun Feb-26-06 09:48 AM by BlueEyedSon
Covers much of the subject matter of Outfoxed, Unprecedented, The Corporation and F11. Which is to say, A LOT.

ORIHG discusses how the political money cycle has created a monolithic, dysfunctional and PARTISAN media which then buries stories like the theft of the 2000 election. "Bribery is illegal, but quid pro quo is not."

The movie also contains a warning for the Internet, the last medium in which content is not rigorously filtered (not in the US, not yet).

Rent it, buy it, borrow it.

1. Did you hear the BushCo flunkie attack the critics of the Dubai
deal for "politicising" National Security?

I think Orwell might have exploded at that one.

3. I'm not sure why this DVD is $3 more expensive at Barnes & Noble...
...but, for those who can afford to pay the extra, remember that B&N is a blue company and Amazon is most definitely not.

In fact, it annoys me that this forum continues to post an affiliate link to Amazon. For books, CDs, DVDs, etc, DU could have the same affiliation with B&N.

Sorry to go off topic. It's just frustrating, is all.

6. That's what we should all do. And, if they have it but at a higher price,
deciding to go with another retailer would be understandable.

I still wish DU admin would at least add an affiliate link for B&N, even if they (inexplicably) continue to actively support Amazon.
