this post I was thinking the exact same thing. She has been gone over two weeks now and there has been absolutely no coverage done on her...I guess she has to look like Laci Peterson to be acknowledged.

I suspect that social class also has a lot to do with how "appealing" the story is. If you are six months pregnant and working in a topless club, my guess is you are not part of the same social elite that Natalie Holloway and Lacy Peterson belonged to.

Surely, you all realize that poor women are of less "value" to the news media than middle or upper class women? Poor minority women are of even LESS value. Speaks volumes about how far women and minorities have really come in this country...
