Bush has an interesting debate with himself
February 27, 2006

Bush Addresses National Governors Association Meeting-

"It's an interesting debate that's going to take place here in Washington, or is taking place in Washington: Do elections cause radicalism or empower radicals? My answer is, the status quo empowered radicals. This notion that somehow the Middle East was a safe place for the last 30 years -- because we didn't see, kind of, the turmoil that happens with elections meant we were safe. I just totally disagree with that, kind of the -- beneath the surface that appeared placid, the policymakers, was resentment and hatred and planning and plotting, all of which came home on September the 11th."

I think he's completely nuts. He's winging it in these speeches and weaving all over the place. Wacko.

2. I don't think he can read and understand all those big words Karl & Co
put in his speeches so he kind of goes off message when it requires him to work hard and read what's on the paper.

3. It must be kind of embarrassing to be in the audience

and have to sit there with a straight face as he delivers that prattle.

It almost sounds as if he is trying to justify those election outcomes. however it is hard to tell what he is trying to say, one thing is sure though, he isn't taking any blame.

12. unbelievable
"I believe this country has got to be aggressive in our pursuit of democracy and liberty, based upon our firm belief that there are such things as the natural rights of men and women. After all, that's what caused our founding, that there is universality to liberty."

9. That speech is just pathetic.
How did the governors keep from laughing him off the podium?

And BTW, I heard on NPR that the governors were asking him what he was going to do about the money the states paid to help out seniors until the Medicare prescription drug plan got the kinks worked out.

I wonder what his answer was on that? You know he'll stiff the states for the money, and they'll be even more strapped for necessary programs.

Bastard!!
