UAE May Have Gold and Platinum Deposits

UAE and Australian scientists are joining hands to prospect for platinum and gold, among other precious minerals, in the UAE's Hajjar mountains.

Natural deposits of platinum group elements (PGE) have recently been reported in the Omani section of the Hajjar mountain range. The range is located in both the neighbouring countries.

The UAE University (UAEU) has recently signed a memorandum of understanding in Sydney with an Australian national research centre... http://gulfnews.com/nation/Environment/10021875.html
