I'm working here in the lab near midnight cursing AAR!
I used to love to do the busy work while listening to Mike Malloy with my headphone radio. Now NYC is "blessed" with the Satelite Sisters and I'm grinding my teeth while listening to them blather on about "man wagons". I can't sit in front of my computer streaming all night and get anything done and I am just so pissed off! What's with these people? Do they have a death wish for their station?

3. They put them on here on Sat AM
I turned it on once and listened for about 10 minutes before I turned to the local sports talk station. I think they must work cheap and all these talk stations (even AAR) need filler material for the weekends.

4. They aren't on the AAR line-up.
I have XM radio and Satellite Sisters aren't on XM. Are you listening to regular radio? The station is responsible for what they air...not AAR. :) We have a local station here and they play Ed Schultz and only part of Randi.....the rest of the line-up, I don't know because I never listen to it unless I'm in my husband's car...which is almost never. Anyway, Schultz isn't on AAR lineup either.

5. AAR cut a deal with ABC to air this program instead of Malloy in NYC.
It's on WLIB, AAR's flagship station. A matter of money: AAR gets more for running the Sat Sisters than from advertising for Malloy. It's a deal only for WLIB in NYC, not the AAR network broadcast.

AAR says it will try to syndicate Malloy in NYC on another station.

6. As of Tues. night...
...the 28th, AAR is airing the new Marc Maron Show at 1 AM EST.

I would suggest you either check into a portable XM radio or start podcasting either from AAR or something similar to help preserve your sanity. ;)

BTW-what you're hearing is the local affiliate filling in rather than repeating earlier programming/airing other contractually-agreed-upon programming for whatever reason.

Another reason terrestrial radio blows more daily.... :puke:
