1. I'm watching it ...
and this UUer is laughing at the UU jokes.

Hey, it's only 10:35 out here!

2. Oops, Fixed it, I'm used to giving the heads up for The Daily Show...

...which was a re-run tonight (and re-plays at 1:00am ET)

That was funny, Bobby describing what Unitarians believe in.

7. That was my favorite part.
I go to both Church of Religious Science and UU churches; to make a long story short, that means that I'm REALLY a universalist who honors all spiritual paths (or lack thereof).

So, as you can see, I can't get away from talking like Bobby! It's like - WHATEVER!

;-)

3. I liked the "who hates who in the name of G-d" chart...
...that was very funny.

4. Spoiler: My favorite part was when he said...
...the bombing of the Golden Shrine could trigger an all out civil war... If we're lucky.

He went on to say that, because if it's an Iraqi civil war, that means we can't be a part of it, and that's called an "Exit Strategy!"

Sad, but possibly true. :evilfrown:

5. "Civil War" by definition means we can't be a part of it...

6. The video is now on line, but the final replay is at 8:30pm ET
Here's a link to the most recent video, all of the clips at the top are from last night, all are worth seeing if you are a fan.

Note: "The De-Deification of the American" is actually the first part of the show, even though they don't appear in that order at the Comedy Central website:

<http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_colbert_report/videos/most_recent/index.jhtml>

(If you are seeing this late, the videos I'm talking about are labeled: "Trial Separation, The De-Deification of the American, Pick Your Apocalypse, Tony Campolo)

BTW: Tony Campolo was an adviser to President Clinton regarding religion and he says some great stuff about the difference between a Good Christian and what we currently have in charge.

9. I liked that, and it applies to everyone!
The way I see it, it the difference between a populist/humanitarian (who cares about people, whether a believer or not) and the fundamentalists, who seem to be rigid, patriarchal warmongers to me.
