Here's how you keep the Democrats on their toes. LOL.
I just got an email from the local Democratic club concerning upcoming events and this is what I wrote back!

"Please take me off this list! I no longer give a fuck what happens to the Democrats. I'm not voting for them and most likely voting Green. At least you know that Greens will most likely not win because they are not too stupid to run campaigns. Or believe that the DLC is dead for that matter."

2. I wonder how much this is happening all over the country? Or people
who have just walked away from the party without saying a word.

5. 1995 Gallup Poll says people want a Third Party
Democrats better get a clue !! if they want to save the party.

http://www.fairvote.org/irv/end_majority_rule.htm

Polls reveal a steadily rising growth in independent voters and support for creation of a third party. A Gallup poll in August 1995 showed that 62% of Americans favored "formation of a third political party that would run candidates for President, Congress and state offices against the Republican and Democratic candidates." The support for such a third party increased steadily the younger the voting age group, with 18-29-year-olds favoring formation of a third party by a lopsided 72%-18% margin. Gallup also found that the proportion of voters calling themselves independents had doubled since 1940 to its current 39%.

17. Many of us can't really answer that question honestly
since this is a Democratic board.

22. I wasn't aware that this board was owned by the democratic
party. I assumed it was open to all progressives regardless of party affiliation.

8. I love it! I would have added
not only am I not voting for them, I'm gonna make sure all the ones in office are voted out.

For sure, they need a serious wake-up call.

10. democraticwarrior.com
Just saw the site for the first time. I'm curious, though. The FAQ doesn't spell out clearly the purpose of the site. I wonder why someone who has given up on the Democratic Party and intends to vote green wants to be a "Democratic Warrior"?

Am I missing something? The sarcasm smiley, perhaps?

13. Yes. I'm just keeping them guessing. I will make the Demos
work for everything they get. The website just opened and the purpose has to get re-written a little bit. Essentially it's for "warrior" Democrats who are not going to take anything lying down.

16. My husband gets mailings from the Repubs, since he's registered as one,
and the last time he got one (soliciting funds) I mailed back the return envelope with a piece of cheese in it. Just because. I wonder if they got it.

20. Isn't it better to get involved and take the party over?
That's what the cons did over on the Republican side...they took the party from the moderates. We need to take the party back from the DLC "centrists".

23. Always good to use a double negative
when calling someone stupid. The swearing is a classy touch too. I am sure that after getting your insightful e-mail they have decided to disband the local party and join your Green Party, or maybe just stop participating in public life all together. What do you mean "most likely voting Green"? Of course you are voting Green and you probably always have. The dead giveaway is referring to the Democratic Party as "them". It's a free country, by all means be a Green. Your local Republican Party- you know, the other "them"- couldn't be more pleased. But if you no longer give a fuck what happens to the Democrats why are you here? The Greenunderground has got to be out there somewhere.
