Schneider is usually a total Shrub supporter, but today's report was VERY BAD! He said Shrub has lost his edge on national security too, and that was his ace in the hole!

HE said Johnson was at 36% when he decided not to run again, but Shrub can't run again...so does it matter? "Well, Bill Clinton was at 37% back in 1992, and he lost control of the House & the Senate!!!!!"

1. I loved the lead-in: "Are the wheels coming off?"
I think it was Leslie B. who actually said that.

2. Yes, and Bill seemed to agree they are!
From what I've seen, Schneider always leans toward supporting Shrub. When I hear someone like him say things are soooo bad, I feel it isn't only us Dems who see the Admin falling apart. but even the supporters see it now!

YEAH!!!!!!

For some reason the direct link doesn't work. Check Josh Marshall here: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/ Look for "Wow. 34% approval rating. . ." about 1/3 of the way down the page, right after the picture of Frank Foer.

edited to take out bad link, edited again to describe how to find link. It's an interesting chart, gives the highs and lows of all presidents back to FDR.

6. Color me corrected. I guess this must have been before the largest peace
time economic expansion in American history got rolling.

7. yeah, I'm guessing it was the "don't ask, don't tell" disaster
and the problems with naming an attorney general? There were some missteps early on without any great achievements yet.
