True story: I was riding back from OH to CT - early 70's. The guy doing the driving had a '64 Impala with an add-on 8-track bolted to the tranny tunnel up front, wired to the middle speaker between the back seats that the Impy came with. (Not yet) Mrs. DB and I were in the back.

"Madman Across the Water" was on "the track break", so it started, then stopped, then started again. The guy never once took out that damn album, and we listened to it non-stop for 11+ hours.

To this day I can't hear that song without waiting for it to stop halfway through for 20 seconds.
