Justice Scalia flips the finger in church
Justice Scalia flips the finger in church
BOSTON, March 27 (UPI) -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia startled reporters in Boston just minutes after attending a mass, by flipping a middle finger to his critics.

A Boston Herald reporter asked the 70-year-old conservative Roman Catholic if he faces much questioning over impartiality when it comes to issues separating church and state.

"You know what I say to those people?" Scalia replied, making the obscene gesture and explaining "That's Sicilian."

The 20-year veteran of the high court was caught making the gesture by a photographer with The Pilot, the Archdiocese of Boston's newspaper.

"Don't publish that," Scalia told the photographer, the Herald said.

He was attending a special mass for lawyers and politicians at Cathedral of the Holy Cross, and afterward was the keynote speaker at the Catholic Lawyers' Guild luncheon.

6. So would I! I wonder if the photo will ever get published?
I suspected his personality was like this when he was known to hang out with Cheney whose personality for sure IS like that!). I'd LOVE to see that camera shot on the front page of every paper in the Country!

11. That photo will NEVER be published, and the negative will be destroyed
(or the digital rendering). The photographer worked for the PILOT, fachrissake. It's a Catholic paper. Unless the guy is a contract worker, they'll probably make it go away....

28. Jesus supposedly brought people back from the dead. Scalia does his
best to make sure more people die because of the fascist decisions he makes. I believe he flipped off the entire country a long time ago.

and his position. Creature is the only word that applies to him - every species name is an insult to the species.

Think of the position that we are in - to have to live with a Supreme Court judge that is this despicable because of his pomposity, arrogance, and derision of humans.

Where's the pic? Did Scalia admit it?

(I guess that's separation of church and state! LOL!)
