4. The GOP are trying to turning this into a wedge issue,
it blatant IMHO but i hope it backfires on them. I believe the GOP misjudged the people on this issue, the people want real immigration reform and the GOP want do real reform.

for Americans to project their hate on?
I think polls have said people were tired of OBL.

6. no. none of those are the reason.
The Essential Worker Immigration Coalition EWIC is the reason!
again,
the EWIC is the reason!
36 of the country's most powerful employer associations have been together for 7 seven years with one goal only:
the worker guest program.
That'
s what this is all about. That is what Bush is pushing for!
the WORKER GUEST PROGRAM is designed to lower labor costs for big corporations.

7. Republicans are playing the old wicked rule of "Rule & Divide"
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 07:18 PM by AlamoDemoc
They have no agenda for 2006 elections, whether be Nat'l Security, Economy, Iraq, or anything else...hence they are trying to run a platform of protectionism whilst appealing to battle-ground middle class america as the party who can protect their paycheck.

8. PLease everyone google EWIC!
How is noone aware of this?
google and read PLEASE!
and I quote from their webpage:
The Essential Worker Immigration Coalition (EWIC) is a coalition of businesses, trade associations, and other organizations from across the industry spectrum concerned with the shortage of both skilled and lesser skilled ("essential worker") labor. EWIC stands ready to work with the Administration and Congress to push forward on important immigration reform issues.

walmart is one of the biggest funders. They say there is a shortage of labor in the US.
wake up guys!

11. I'll google EWIC, but read this. From another post here at DU
Immigration and globalization...
Read this publication and recoil in horror as I did.

www.iie.com/publications/chapters_preview/331/5iie3284....

The IIE board includes David Rockefeller, Harvard President Larry Summers and long-time Rockefeller agents Paul Volcker and Pete Peterson. These guys are globalists (New World Order types) in case you didn't know.

This file is copy protected so I cannot cut and paste. What they more or less propose is integrating the US, Canada and Mexico. I heard a report on CNN that said they hope to accomplish this by 2010. They said there would be new governing bodies. First is the North American Commision to be appointed by government, but independent of government (you know...no oversight and probably more or less secret...like CIFIUS). These guys are the planners.

Then they propose making a group called the North American Parliamentary Group (NAPG) which would be comprised of legislators from all three countries. That sounds icky to me.

They also suggest a new currency, the "Amero". You guys will see...the dollar will collapse like it did in the late '70s. Fuel, gold, silver and other commodities will go through the roof in the next year. I suspect this new currency will be introduced to 'save the day'. Never mind that fiat currency is a way to steal wealth from the people who don't understand the system of money, wealth and finance (as the Rockefellars do).

Globalization is the same as the New World Order. Slowly but surely, they don't want individual countries. Once there's a world government, with today's technology, they can impose a world tyranny that will be hard to beat. I believe that's their aim, but they have to break America down first. They need to keep making us more poor and less educated. They have to reduce wages. They need to encourage Mexican immigration. You see, US citizens don't want to merge with Mexico, so in order to merge us, they're encouraging Mexicans to relocate!! Vincente Fox is doing exactly that (with the back door blessings of our power elite).

So, this isn't just about cheap labor and corporations. Its way way more insidious. Its about the undoing of America and taking away our sovereign status as an independent country. Canada has similarly been sold out (and with a little googling, you'll see many are unhappy about it). Heck, Quebec doesn't even want to be part of Canada, how are they going to cope with being part of the US and Mexico too!!

The new world order is real. I'm just not convinced they're devil worshipers (which is what the conspiracy web pages alledge).

14. they moved the file.
It was there a second ago, now it's gone.
I believe that is true in the bigger picture, but what is going on right NOW, right this minute is because of the EWIC and their support for Bush. If people were aware of WHY they want a guest worker program, and who is behind and funding this initiative, it would be canned , instead of becoming a main debate.

10. Because guest worker legislation is on the table
and most US citizens don't want a guest worker program?

I know it's really tinfoilish and out there, but it's something you may want to consider. :eyes:

12. Distracting us from the dollar collapse?
Saudi Arabia is divesting from dollar holdings. This is the rumor I've heard. The treasury is printing $2 trillion dollars and they stopped reporting M3 (money in circulation) this month.

Do you wonder why oil is going up for no reason? Because the dollar is going down. The wars are part of a rouse perhaps (maybe the globalists planned this event....just a theory). Fiat currency is a form of stealth theft from citizens, but the government isn't about to admit the crime they are committing against their people (just like they won't admit to 9/11). I think that the other countries aren't giving us any loans. So we're printing the money until the collapse happens (after the mid-term elections?)

Maybe that's why they were preparing their crowd control stun guns (using some type of energy) to be ready in 2007.

I think eveything they do is planned. What appears to be incompetence is design to reduce our rage (its a psy-op thing).

:( he's busily trying to divide democrats...

Right on schedule...Karl's still got his "groove"

Look at any "news" show and what do you see?

IT'S THE DOUBLE D PLAN IN ACTION

Divide & Distrust

All the nasty divisive stuff is bubbling up...can't you hear the burbling and oozing??

Immigration (racist undertones & all) is the headliner ..7 months before the election, the one thing that has to happen is for democrats to be put on the spot about this age-old issue.

Since we have been a country,(and before that) we have had northward immigration. If we built a 50 ft wall, they would build 55 ft ladders..

Immigration is an issue that republicans can win on...because as much as they pretend to "like Mexicans", everyone knows that "their" Mexicans are loyal toadies and are not rank and file "folks"..

BUT getting democrats to bite on this issue will hurt their standing in the hispanic communities and the republicans KNOW it..

Immigration is NOT a campaign issue, since NO ONE person's beliefs on the issue will make a bit of difference.. If it were an easy issue to "fix", it would have been done years ago.

It's an issue that just gets pushed onto the next congress and the next and the next.

............................................

Another pet issue that always gets people to divide up..abortion...Look at all the states (red ones) that are gleefully setting up SCOTUS cases and creating odd law to divide the voters ..

............................................

And just in case the media , still reeling from being hornswaggled over the war, continues on their path to finally start telling some truth, ...well... we have the "Poor-W-The-Media's-So-Mean" tour out there creating a new myth.. The Media is out to get him, and cannot be believed.. This one's right on schedule too, because if they are to steal another election ("the quad-fecta"), they must have people believing that the media is wrong..

The media is, after all, saying things like. "Democrats are leading".."Democrats might re-take congress".etc..

In order for the "steal" to work, the people must be prepared in advance to DISTRUST what the media says.

There are SEVEN months left...plenty of time for Karl to spin a new web..

So far the plan is working too. The media folks are trying harder than ever to "be fair", "be balanced", and are wasting lots of time trying to find "good stuff" to report, lest they continue to be attacked by the slime machine..

What they SHOULD be doing, is shining a light on the PLAN afoot, instead of thinking they can still have it both ways..

They tried that tack on the war, and it did not work out so well for them...

They should start out every report with ..." The adminsitration wants us to believe x-y-z-, and wants us to report ....

BUT we feel that the public needs to know about :

the environmental calamity approaching
the sorry state of health care in America
the vast numbers of people NOT even included in the unemployment reports
the sad state of college financing
the increasing of foreclosures
the increasing interest rates
the obesity crisis and its connection to "corporate-food"
the gasoline crisis
etc
etc

19. My theory (don tinfoil hats!)...
...is that this proposal is designed to die. Democrats, falling into the trap, are dead-set opposed, while Republicans, some of whom "got the memo," are "divided" in support. This will cause the White House to have to back down.

Then, sometime between August and October, we'll have another terra attack on U.S. soil. Nothing as devastating as 9/11, but possibly a series of "dirty bombs" (in this case, firecrackers wrapped in uranium in trashcans or something) going off simultaneously in a large number of U.S. cities. Not powerful enough to cause casualties, unless someone is unlucky enough to be sitting on the trashcan at the time, but effective in frightening everyone out of their wits. (Has anyone noticed how "dirty bombs" have been all over the news lately?)

In the ensuing "terra panic," even though no one may be apprehended, the FBI will come up with "clear, undeniable proof" that a) al-Qaeda was indeed behind it, and b) that their terraists, along with their radioactive material, entered the U.S. illegally across the Mexican border.

As a result, Bush will have the ability to further clamp down on civil liberties, and Republicans, in November's elections, will be able to blame the whole thing on Democrats (instead of the White House having to take the blame, as would now happen for any garden-variety terra attack) for having "let down our security" and "failed to protect our borders."

The way things are going, this would be the only scenario that would likely save the Republicans from losing at least one of the houses of Congress this fall, which would enable investigations with subpoena power into King George's misdeeds, possibly leading to impeachment.

Would King George sacrifice American morale, and maybe even American lives, to prolong his power? Isn't that a stupid question?

:tinfoilhat:
