Keith's program sponsored by O'Reilly?
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 09:05 PM by PCIntern
In Philly, on Comcast MSNBC, we just had an ad for Fox News' O'Lielly, and then the narrator said, "This program brought to you by Fox News."

Very weird...

1. Ahhh the logical next step in the fight
Fox is obviously buying cable ads (you know, the ones your cable company sells and then airs over the ones the network airs on it's own?) during Countdown to strike back. I wonder how many other markets they have purchased ad time in to do that?

If I had the money, I'd run ads on Fox News all day advertising Countdown and say something to the effect of... "if you want the real news and not blatant lies, come watch Countdown"...

It would be fun to sabotage Fox News' entire day of programming with repeated ads like that.

2. Well, in a way Falafel Man DOES sponsor Countdown.
If it wasn't for all the stupid things he does, Keith wouldn't have nearly as much ammunition against the right, or good laughs, on his show!

3. True
But Fox sponsoring the show is like when your parents approve of something you were doing to rebel against them. It's no fun if Fox decides to be in on the joke. They must see his ratings going up and figure they can leech viewers off of him along with the obvious potshot at the same time.

I'm sure there's enough insanity on the right with the Bush Admin to keep him plastered with material forever but I would prefer if Keith struck back with ads then to allow them to advertise on his show. I think most viewers watch Keith specifically to escape Fox, these ads are just a major annoyance on them.
