Canceled the Washington Post. Are there any good papers left?
I finally decided that I couldn't take the POst's right-wing crap anymore, particularly over the way they reported on Sen. Feingold's censure resolution and the whole Ben Domenech fiasco. So I canceled it and wrote a nasty -- though courteous -- letter.

The problem is that I like getting a newspaper every day at home. I like having something to read. I like getting a sports page, and a crossword puzzle, and sudoku, and movie reviews. And I like having it in hard copy and not on a computer screen. So what am I to do? Are there ANY decent papers left? I guess there is always the NY Times, but as another thread mentioned, they don't exactly have clean hands themselves. Thoughts?

1. The Sun?
What about the Baltimore Sun? I don't read it much so I don't know how it leans politically...

5. USA Today
Yea, I'm sure I will get static for this but it is actually an entertaining paper to read. I have thought about sunbscribing to it before.

6. Too bad Reuters is just a newswire...
Le Monde? The London Times? Pardon the sarcasm, but we in the sticks have to live with sad substitutes for even the WP. I DREAM of subscribing to the Post.

Go buy your crosswords, Sudoku, and likewise at a bookstore. Get your news from blogs - news is just another big business these days. All the "liberal media" criticism has made them capitulate to the point that they can't adequately edit, report, or comment.
