Harry Reid: "George Bush Has Failed America"
THANK YOU, HARRY!!!

Dangerously incompetent and consistently misleading, George Bush is our worst President ever because he has failed at the basic task of serving the American people.

Bush Republicans in the Senate have refused to hold him accountable for his mistakes, allowing incompetence and corruption to become the rule in Washington. In all my years of public service, I have never seen anything like it and I've never been more worried for the future.

...

George Bush has failed the American people in Iraq. First of all, his administration has refused to come clean on whether prewar intelligence was distorted or misused to fuel the march to war. Worse yet, George Bush has refused to even admit some of the serious mistakes that have been made in Iraq, let alone change his policies to correct them. Now we are paying the price.

George Bush failed the American people in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. All of us were heartbroken to see the suffering of our countrymen and -women in the wake of the storm. Sadly, the Bush administration's immediate response was shamefully inadequate and incompetently mismanaged. We all know that cleaning up the Gulf Coast will take years of sustained commitment, yet now that the TV cameras have turned to other subjects, the administration's efforts have shortchanged the people living in the region. It's unconscionable.

3. The meme that Harry keeps hitting is a good one: "Bush Republicans"
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 05:59 PM by mcscajun
This (as yet unlinked) statement isn't the first one to use that meme. We need to hammer that one home at Every Opportunity.

Even the RNC knows they're all tagged with the Bush label; one memo from the RNC recently spoke of "brand W. Republicans" -- they know that can't escape the label.

Let's see that they don't.

4. I noticed. Bush Republicans want to run from their record
They want to ignore the fact that ALL of the Bush Republican policies have been dismal failures. Every single one. (Except for making their corporate cronies rich at the expense of the American people.) Remember the bumpersticker "if you think education is expensive, try ignorance?" Well, we have an ignorant president being protected by a party that has turned loyalty from a virtue into a tragic flaw. Ignorant president and complicit party = Bush Republicans. Make them run on their record, don't let them run away from it.

5. George Bush has failed humanity at large, actually.
In 2000, the entire world lost.

6. That's nice
But should we point out that Reid hasn't mobilized the Dems to take advantage of this?
