World's shortest quiz to find your political leanings
Since it's Sunday, it's not wasting your time just to find out you're a liberal:
http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html
But how liberal are you? (It only takes 30 seconds.)

I thought it was a joke at first, but it isn't. The quiz asks 10 key questions that accurately defines your position on the political spectrum.
Pretty cool! (I'm a liberal that leans slightly libertarian)

1. Very neat!
Like you, I'm a liberal who leans slightly towards Libertarianism (because, I suppose, I said we should stop government welfare for corporations).

2. This is the same tests the libertarian party has run for years
that makes everybody think they're really libertarians.

If you want a real test, try the one at http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/

That's a pretty cool test though, it seems I lie politcally near Ghandi somehow!(?)

I think some corporate welfare is okay -- helping business in impoverished neighborhoods, stabilizing milk prices, that sort of thing. I think I'm actually kind of a socialist who's a libertarian on social issues.

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 90%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 30%.

Am I welcome at DU anymore? The recent flame wars and the personal attacks that resulted because of disagreement on one issue - and one issue only - that question remains unanswered.

I'm sure as crap not FR material, those creatures make me sick.

100% personal, 30% economic.

Shame it's so short, I'd like to see more finesse in the economic options. For instance socio-economic policies like 'fairtrade' are mentioned tangentially.

on edit: I am an anarcho-syndicalist so this Libertarian website crap is repellant to me, this is no reflection on the OP but I'd like to make it clear: Anarchists are truly libertarian; Advocate Libertarians are nothing but libertines.

These idiots want to privatise everything. It would be social darwinism running amok. Tough luck to all those that can't look after themselves or need to care for members of their family.

33. CENTRIST
CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government

control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on

the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention

and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,

tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what

they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

a voluntary army is FASCIST

everybody serves, or nobody serves

a standing, voluntary army was anathema to the founding fathers

this polls is ridiculous

lumping tax cuts and reduced spending is also bullshit

and what about free trade? is being against that liberal or conservative? free trade is NEOliberal (which, in classic economic terms is NOT progressive), not liberal. these pollsters are ignoramuses
