Here you've got people who HATE this product spending 10-20 minutes with it, actually CREATING something (even though they're making fun of it).... they're going to remember it! Clever....very clever.

Fundies expect to have bullshit spoon fed to them and expect to find it tasteful.

The whole point is maintenance of faith in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. If you're not lying, your not 'serving truth.' The right wing has successfully wedded that kind of blind faith in religion to their politics. Voting for * and his cronies is an act of faith, not of reason.

The right wing has a lot of things they'd like to see happen to this country which do not bode well for the middle and lower classes.

Thus the only way to get the middle and lower classes to go along with them is to misrepresent their own intentions and smear those who are opposing them at our behest.

If the right wing told us the unvarnished truth about their intentions for this country, no amount of Diebold "assistance" would be able to keep them from being bounced out on their ears.

I think there is an organized effort to subvert rational discourse. Make every topic emotional. Present opinions as facts and argument as debate. Confuse every issue with a web of lies and distortions. Use distraction whenever possible. Keep people collectively interacting on the level of snarling animals. Keep them from thinking.

Then again, I am Captain Tinfoil....

And there's also the fact that they're just a bunch of twerps who seem to be more concerned about "winning" than about creating best possible outcomes....

17. There are two main types: (correct me if I'm wrong)

1) Those who are lying purely for the money/power. These people just don't care about others anymore. (Well, 'their actions are such that one would assume that') however this is quite possibly due to what appears to be the incorrect assumption that society doesn't really change.

2) The majority have made an incorrect assumption, that is now hidden behind the wall people put around their beleifs. This changes the interpretation of new data; in this case the entire reality is such a way that it appears the logical deduction, that given the assumptions (with an unkown flaw) must be correct. Each one of these is beleived, and forms a new incorrect assumption.

I realise that not going into detail has caused this post to be somewhat opaque, please tell me if I am required to elaborate.
