The collaboration

Carol Simpson DesignWorks is a collaboration of Estelle Carol, Bob Simpson, Suzan Erem, Steve Richter and Dana Simpson.

Estelle Carol, Bob Simpson and Dana Simpson have a home studio in Oak Park, Illinois packed with five computers and an extensive library of artistic and technical resources. Suzan Erem is based out of State College, Pennylvania with frequent trips to Chicago, Illinois and is a skilled copywriter and editor. Steve Richter has a home office in Salt Lake City, Utah and works on website programming and development.

Estelle Carol is an experienced graphic designer who has specialized in creating printed materials for nonprofits, unions and educational institutions for 15 years. She is also the artist half of the Carol Simpson cartoon team and a part-time staff designer at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Bob Simpson is a former high school history teacher whose responsibilities include cartoon gag writing, pre-press production, copy editing, website production, marketing, bookkeeping and computer maintenance. He has an extensive knowledge of the labor movement and two masters degrees (history and education).

Suzan Erem is a versatile writer with many years experience in the labor movement. Author of the book Labor Pains and co-author of Do You Want to be a Mom?, Suzan also worked as an editor on a daily newspaper.

Steve Richter is a programmer with 20 years experience working with both government and the private sector. He has developed advanced e-commerce and database solutions and is familiar with a number of computer languages.

Dana Simpson is a 3rd year illustration student at Columbia College in Chicago. She hopes to enter the film industry as an illustrator.
