“Mexican truck project may return”. Congress ends Bush’s cross-border trucking program but Obama
says he wants to renew it. See Mexican truck project may return.
Yesterday, March 11, Obama signed the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations bill, which included a provision to end the Department of Transportation’s trucking project, which was to allow 100 Mexican carriers to do business beyond the border zone in the United States, and a reciprocal number of U.S. carriers to do the same in Mexico.

“The president has tasked the Department of Transportation to work with the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of State, along with leaders in Congress and Mexican officials, to propose legislation creating a new trucking project that will meet the legitimate concerns of Congress and our NAFTA commitments,” said a DOT statement.

1. Why would renewing this project be a good idea?

2. Globalism is dead.
We don't want Foreign drivers on our roads without the same certs our drivers have.
We will never compete with Mexican drivers in Mexico.

Another example of the essential stupidity of NAFTA.

4. Shame on you. Corporatists view NAFTA as an essential step toward a New World Order and you object.
Shame, shame on you for not accepting your role as a peon in the Corporate State of America.

:sarcasm: with traces of truth.
