Sunoco to Slash 750 Jobs

http://www.laborradio.org/node/10701

Sunoco announced on Friday the company would be slashing 750 jobs in the Philadelphia region. The company is the first to announce job cuts at oil refineries during the economic downturn. The job cuts impact salaried workers and severance packages will be offered to hourly workers as the company seeks additional resignations. The company plans to also look at their refineries in Ohio, Oklahoma, and New Jersey as it develops a restructuring plan.
