Teamsters Yank $14 Million Out of KeyBank Because of Labor Dispute

The Teamsters Union in Oregon are having a problem in with a company called Oak Harbor and it has touched a nerve to Cleveland area labor leaders. The labor union first conducted an advertisement against KeyBank, which is based in Cleveland and gave loans to Oak Harbor, and have notched up their war by pulling $14 Million worth of assets out of the bank.

"We won't stand by while KeyCorp finances a company that is waging war against our fellow brothers and sisters," said Gary Tiboni, President of Teamsters Joint Council 41 in Cleveland. "If KeyCorp wants our business, it needs to stop supporting workers' rights abuses."

The company and the union ended a long strike late last month but angered the union by suspending more than dozen labor supporters in the company and switching their health care package to a lesser package after the work stoppage was settled.
