SHOREVIEW - The Minnesota Association of Professional Employees, one of the largest public employee unions in Minnesota, is searching for a membership recruitment specialist.

Duties include: develop, organize and coordinate ongoing, effective internal organizing programs, develop and implement a permanent, sustainable statewide membership plan, and participate in the development of locally based organizing programs.

Extensive knowledge desired of effective organizing techniques, principles and practices of current training techniques and motivational skills, and labor unions and their roles and responsibilities.

Educational requirements: master’s or bachelor’s plus equivalent experience.

Candidate must work under pressure and in time-sensitive situations, and be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups and interests. Extensive travel required.
