Popular Missouri Secretary of State Has Proven Record of Leadership

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa joined Teamsters from across Missouri today at a rally to announce the union's endorsement of Robin Carnahan for U.S. Senate.

"Missourians deserve better leadership in Washington, and they'll get it from Robin Carnahan," Hoffa told hundreds of Teamsters at the rally held at Joint Council 56. "We can't afford business as usual in these tough economic times. The Teamsters will do what it takes to deliver a victory for Carnahan and the hardworking people of Missouri."

Carnahan brings a proven record of serving and protecting Missourians as Secretary of State. Her work fighting investment fraud has earned her national recognition as a leader in securities law enforcement. As Missouri's senator, she will hold Wall Street and Washington accountable by cracking down on fraud, waste and abuse that has created the crisis plaguing the U.S. economy.

"Robin Carnahan wants to create opportunities for people to improve their lives, and she will work tirelessly to make our government work by solving problems," said Jim Kabell, President of the Missouri-Kansas-Nebraska Conference of Teamsters. "She is a friend to Missouri's working families the Teamsters are proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate."

1. That was always a no-brainer.
Robin or Roy Blunt? or Sara Steelman? LOL. There was no other possible outcome.

I know Jim Kabell from my work in the local Democratic Party( and my membership in CWA before my retirement) here in Springfield, MO.

The Unions and the Carnahans go way back.

By the way, I see another Democrat coming to the U S Senate by the name of Robin Carnahan.
