Two hospitalized after fall from scaffolding

Two workers were hospitalized after they fell from scaffolding in south Omaha on Wednesday afternoon.

The men were about 20 feet above the ground when a piece of the silo they were working on broke loose and knocked them off, said Omaha Fire Department Spokesman Capt. Jim Gentile.

The men fell onto pipes lying on the ground, Gentle said. They were taken to Creighton University Medical Center.

Gentile said he was unable to release their names or their medical conditions. Emergency radio traffic at the time indicated at least one of the men was in critical condition.

The incident, which occurred near 13th and M Streets, was reported about 1:40 p.m.

1. I wonder how many people on Wall Street are injured on the job?
