We got everything done today earlier than we thought we would. Marta's car to adjuster. Dinner out. etc.. I check in here and look at all the posts and the several different people posting. Woo Woo. Stop by the greatest threads on the front page and give the Biden story a K&R too.

1. Vice President Joe Biden....
...making a renewed pitch for a major change in labor law, told union leaders Tuesday...

Wish I was as enthusistic about this as you are Steve, but my reaction was much the same as DUer bvar22's on that thread:

Nice speech to give in front of "union leaders". Lets see him give it in front of the Nation,

or to the Chamber of Commerce, or to WalMart executives

or (while twisting their arms) to Landrieu, Pryor, Lincoln, Nelson, Nelson, Bayh (waterboard him), and a couple of other "Centrist" Dem Senators (ConservoDems).

Or am I wrong to feel this way?

Glad everything went smoothly for you and Marta, and was pleasantly surprised at the activity on this forum also.

2. I would expect the big guns to come out when Franken finally takes his seat

Then things get interesting. We then need three Dems to vote to end the filibuster that oppose the act. If we do that, EFCA wins on an up or down vote. I met Vice President Biden in the Fall of 2007. We talked labor. I got the autographed book too. Let us not forget LABOR got Joe elected to the Senate the first time he ran. He had been with us ever since.

4. Thanks, Steve I do see your point...
I feel somewhat more encouraged by Biden's remarks after reading your reply, but I'm still a bit skeptical.
