One Senate candidate doesn’t know her state’s minimum wage. Jesse Russell reports:

During a press conference where she accepted the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Businesses endorsement, Connecticut’s Republican Senatorial candidate Linda McMahon couldn’t remember the state’s minimum wage. The minimum wage in Connecticut is $8.25 per hour while the federal minimum is $7.25 per hour. The NFIB is against any increases to the federal minimum wage. McMahon said during the press conference that if she were elected she wouldn’t rule out possibly cutting the state’s minimum wage. According to Connecticut newspaper The Day when McMahon was asked if she supported all of the organizations positions her campaign abruptly shut down the press conference.

1. I haven't lived in Connecticut for 20 years.
The one thing that I'm pretty sure about is that there is no way in hell to support a family on $8.25 / hr in CT.

$8.25 / hr wouldn't have gone very far 20 years ago and I don't see where the real estate market is any cheaper there now.

Amazing...she might cut the minimum wage in CT if elected and yet hubby has enough money to spend on this little item.

- In July of last year, Vince McMahon surprised his mother Vicki by picking up the $2.5 million bill for a new tennis center where she lives in Ebensburg, PA. Fast forward one year and the brand new facility which contains three indoor and three outdoor tennis courts, a pro shop and a locker room will be unveiled this Saturday. The surface used for the indoor and outdoor courts are the same as the ones used in the Australian and U.S. Open. 80 people already signed up for memberships just by word of mouth. The borough is offering a preview of the facility from Saturday to August 27th urging residents to schedule a free lesson to experience the center. The WWE Chairman is paying for the facility through his Vince McMahon Foundation as a present to his mother who is an avid tennis fan. The Altoona Mirror newspaper has a small picture of the facility here.

2. The woman begrudges a fulltime worker a mere $16K annually? The ninny who once declared
bankruptcy because she was a million dollars in debt begrudges a fulltime worker $16K? A minimum wage earner in Connecticut would have to work 60 years to earn the million that this ninny borrowed and couldn't pay pay back

Every year, this ninny rakes about 300X what a minimum wage earner makes. And she thinks hardworking people living in poverty are being paid too much?
