Today in labor history BONUS Oct 13 (mostly female and minority workers)

October 13, 1985 - More than 1,100 office workers, organized by District 65 of the United Auto Workers, went on strike against Columbia University in New York City. The mostly female and minority workers won union recognition and pay increases.
