1/4/2008
Fargo police say they won`t release the results of an autopsy in the case of a man who died after being buried in snow until OSHA has finished its nvestigation.

A co-worker says Christopher Volk, 19, of Glyndon, Minnesota, jumped off the roof as it was caving in yesterday afternoon, and was buried in an avalanche of snow.

Police say Volk was pronounced dead at a Fargo hospital. Fire and rescue workers pulled him out of the snow after about 30 minutes of digging.

Bruce Beelman is the area director of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. He says an investigator will be in Fargo on Monday. He says OSHA will look to see if proper safety measures were in place for three workers on the roof of the warehouse who were clearing snow at the time of the accident.

Police say Volk worked for a temporary labor agency called Command Center.
