1. I would say he has some anger issues..

2. But he is more or less correct in that Americans will lose a lot of jobs

over increased competition from Mexican truck drivers in the long run. It won't kill off the American firms, as they will simply move south of the border--of course, moving to non-union labor in the US trucking industry has already basically killed the job as a way to bring in anything near a living wage.

There is no way to balance the preservation of American jobs and charges of xenophobia. Either you open up the country to progressive notions of immigration and trade or you protect American jobs. Protecting American jobs, as far as I can tell, is fundamentally opposed to a progressive platform.

3. Freight Teamsters are in negoitations right now. Bottom line is that the new contract sucks @$$.....

...Lots of newer or "reclassified" drivers will be making 14.00 per hour while other drivers who are "on the board" will still be making 22.54 per hour under this new proposal.
