In-home care workers in Marin will be getting an 80 cents-per-hour raise, lifting their hourly wage to $11.30 starting March 1.

The new pay, a 9 percent raise, is part of a two-year contract negotiated between Marin's In-home Supportive Services Public Authority and the SEIU United Healthcare Workers Union.

The authority also will increase its contributions to workers' Kaiser Permanente medical plan and dental benefits.

The new contract covers roughly 1,450 workers who provide in-home care to elderly and disabled Marin residents.
