Republicans Blocking Senate Dems' Effort To Extend Unemployment Benefits

Senate Republicans re blocking an effort by Democrats in the Senate to add seniors and disabled veterans to the list of people getting tax rebate checks. Democrats in the Senate are also trying to extend unemployment benefits in their version of the economic stimulus package already passed by the U.S. House.

1. And in an election year no less. Senate Repubs are as fucking

obtuse as Reid and Pelosi. None of 'em understand that what THEY want/need/think is not what's important.

Happily (so sad to use that word about suffering) but there are a hell of a lot of republican's in this cesspool economy who are barely keeping afloat. They may just take notice this year that their boys who are pulling down good money (money that they are paying) in Washington don't give a fat rat's ass about their problems. Not as long as they can vote THEMSELVES raises.
