Trane Union Workers at Fort Smith Ratify Agreement

Members of Local 716 of the United Auto Workers at Fort Smith have ratified a three-year agreement with Trane Inc.

Trane has about 550 production workers and 75 salaried workers at Fort Smith.

"The company and UAW leaders worked hard to reach an agreement what will keep us competitive in serving our distributors, dealers and consumers," said Jennifer Parmentier, business leader, Fort Smith.

Trane, the maker of heating and air conditioning systems, has 29,000 employees worldwide and posted revenue of $7.5 billion last year.
