This is quite entertaining compilation of Obama’s “borrowing of words” (( who IS obama?? )) as he likes to say. Watch it all the way through, it’s worth it.

And...If Hillary used "Bamboozled" to audiences in SC...would that be considered pandering...racial...? Double standards...let's talk about "race'...'words"...very obvious who has the edge.

Axelrod should be ashamed of all the racial overtones he continually interjects into Barack's candidacy. Apparently that is his specialty.... find a young black politician and write speeches for him. Speeches that call up images of Malcolm and Farrakan. This will get a fear reaction from white voters, who collectively remember the violence of the past.

But...because it's subconscious...they won't be able to put a finger on why. And, in the end, THEY will be branded as backwoods racists.

It's an astounding strategy, really. And quite dangerous for everyone involved. Especially for the speech givers who will eventually become targets for the fear and hatred they are calling up. Stimulating the subconscious in this way may be clever in the short run. But it will be deadly in the larger picture.

11. what is
truly bothering me is...the silent call for action IF Barack is not the nom. ALL LW radio shows Ed, Randi<Stephanie Miller are instigating a huge riot! I here it being said "IF Barcak is not he Nom...you've seen nothing"..accusing Hillary of STEALING the election...they are putting these very harmful rumors out there and Barack's followers believe it! This talk is creating a huge racial devide and growing hate. Is this the change we need?

12. I believe there will be riots
and worse. Beyond Axelrod, you have Ted Kennedy planting this seed of BHO=JFK.

The subconscious memories of voters are nothing to mess with.

31. Yes it does make him a great President!
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 03:18 PM by WDIM
I think that does make him a good president. We need a leader to inspire us as a nation! Maybe if we get a little inspired we would get off our lazy asses and actually do something to make our lives better. Presidents can't make our country a better place to live! Congress can't make our country a better place to live! Only we the people can make our country a better place to live! Obama gets people inspired. He gets people involved! He is a true leader that will hopefully end the cynicism and the idea that we can't do anything to change it so why even try attitude of the people. Clinton on the other hand wants us to keep the cynicism. She is part of the politicians that don't want people involved. She wants status quo. We just sit back and let the politicians tell us what is good for us! Well we can't live like that anymore! Its time we tell the politicians what we want. And I feel Obama is actually somebody that will listen!

on a daily basis. :eyes:

I take issue with this garbage regardless... And the fact that you K&R it and then imply that the poster learned it from "Obama supporters" only proves that you are a weak-minded hypocrite.

Personally, I think the Hillary one is more damaging because it gets at issues of policy, too. But anyone can be made to look bad.

22. The reason Hillary didn't sweep the nomination is simply because she has echoed Bush too many times.
YouTube videos like this one may make some supporters feel good, but in the end, it's really about policy. If Hillary had given the same speech that Obama gave in 2002, and followed it up with action, she would be the nominee now, end of story. I think even if she'd done what John Edwards did, and took responsibility for making a mistake, she would've been forgiven and embraced.

But Hillary's main problem isn't sexism, it's militarism. People just aren't convinced about her anti-war credentials. They see her voting for the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment, echoing the same kind of Bush/Cheney language that got us into this war, and they don't want that. That's why things have turned out the way they have.

If you look at my sig, you can see that I'll vote for either of them. But Hillary isn't making it easy for me. Instead of assassinating Obama's character, as her campaign has now chosen to do, why not defend her record? Convince me that Barack showed bad judgment and she showed good judgment, based on the facts. That's the way you win votes and win people's hearts.

30. He uses Bamboozled as a joke!
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 03:28 PM by WDIM
Don't you notice the laughs when he says Bamboozled. Hoodwinked. Rope a Dope. He knows thats a Speech Malcolm X gave. Everybody knows that a speech Malcolm X gave. I'd like for him to say "We didn't land on Plymouth rock! Plymouth rock landed on us!" that would be sweet!

i think its quite funny when he pulls those old sayings. He's not ashamed of being black. Malcolm X was a great mind! MLK was a great mind! These are men that he looks up to and there is nothing wrong with that. If you have a problem with him quoting Malcolm especially as a joke then you should check your liberal/progressive card at the door on your way out. Goodbye!

33. Racially provacative words
are never a joke. They are dangerous.

In this case, the words being used call up images of racial hatred. They are trigger words. And anyone who lived through the violence knows what they are "code" for.

I hope he stops using them before the election. If he keeps at it, it won't bode well for a win in the GE.

A speech given by Dave Chapelle
A Mel Brooks Classic I recommend it!

"Look at yourselves.

Go on, take a look around.

People of Sherwood, you been had!

Hoodwinked!

Bamboozled.

Run amuck!

We didn't land on Sherwood Forest.

Sherwood Forest landed on us!"

- Barack Obama

I've always thought it was one of the funniest parts of his speech!
