This video is addressed to Steve Grove, YouTube's news and politics editor.

Sen. Mike Gravel and Rep. Ron Paul have been removed from YouTube's YouChoose '08 page, located at: http://www.youtube.com/youchoose .

Why is YouTube deciding for the voters which candidates deserve any recognition, and which ones don't? This is especially strange, as Dr. Paul is the most subscribed candidate on YouTube, and Senator Gravel is far more popular than John McCain.

Not only are Sen. Gravel and Rep. Paul missing, but so is Independent candidate Ralph Nader. YouTube is becoming part of the problem.

Mike is right, there are 3 Democratic candidates.

3. Sorry stimbox
Gravel was likely dropped because at this point, he's the epitome of a non-viable candidate.

In Mississippi, Gravel got fewer votes than Edwards, Biden, Richardson, Kucinich, and Dodd, all of whom have dropped out. It's time for Gravel to officially drop out. When a candidate no money, has been unable to contribute to the direction the debate has taken, and is receiving fewer votes than five candidates who haven't been in the race for months, they're done.

6. But if Gravel is on my ballot, I'll probably vote for him.
Why disenfranchise the rest of us who don't drink the Obama or Clinton koolaid?

9. Removing a link from a page on YouTube is not disenfranchising
Disenfranchising is preventing someone from voting and is wholly illegal. What YouTube did is not preventing people from voting, nor is it illegal. All of Gravel's videos are still up. The only thing that's changed is that the management at YouTube decided that he isn't really running still and acted accordingly. YouTube's removal of Gravel will make roughly zero difference in the outcome of future primaries.

Mike Gravel's YouTube channel has 4,664 subscribers. Those 4,664 subscribers aren't affected by YouTube's decision, nor are those who search for Gravel on YouTube. The only people affected are those who rely on YouTube's YouChoose page to decide who to support.

Even with his 4,664 subscribers, he has, without question, failed to get his message out. He was operating under a MSM blackout from day one, accumulated only a handful of donations. YouTube isn't the problem.

I also love how your world view is 'If you think that Gravel isn't a serious candidate, then you're either an Obama or Clinton supporter.' It's so reminiscent of "you're either with us or against us." Not that it makes a difference. but I was a Kucinich supporter and am considering writing him in when my state gets around to having a primary.

10. I think that disenfranchising happens
when alternate perspectives are silenced. Just me.

My vote will make absolutely zero difference in the primaries, but I still plan to vote. It's the principle of the thing.

I'm glad you love my world view. I certainly never said, though, anything about whether I considered any candidate more "serious" than another, and I certainly never suggested that anyone who didn't want to see Gravel on the ballot must be a Clinton or an Obama supporter. I think you're misinterpreting my statements.

Not a surprise, since most of what I have to say about the primaries is edited to comply with DU rules.

I'm leaving my primary options open. To be blunt, if it looks like a brokered convention might be possible, I'll vote for whomever has the least number of delegates when my primary gets here in late May. If not, I'll write in DK. I never supported Gravel's run for the nomination, but I'd like to see the candidates from the Democratic left get more respect from their own party.

14. It's up to Gravel to drop out when he chooses to, not the corporate owners of the media

4. Posting all of these Gravel threads isn't going to make him a viable candidate
He gets fewer votes than the candidates who have dropped out. He could not even qualify for the ballot in many states.

At this point these threads have the effect of a little child yelling "Look at me! Look at me! Pay attention to me!" in the middle of the adults having a serous conversation.

Maybe he could take some responsibility and acknowledge that he did get his message out, and Democratic primary voters heard it, and rejected it, rather than blaming everybody else.

7. I guess you are ok with the m$m picking your candidates.
Personally, I'm not.

You can do as you're told like a good little boy.

In the immortal words of Rage Against The Machine, "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me."

From the look of the campaign, Gravel is the only adult running.

15. Why post such a denigrating reply?
Mike Gravel has as much a right to run for president as Clinton and Obama have. And 'stimbox' has as many right to post as many videos as he wants as anyone else. If you're annoyed by them, just don't watch them. Life can be that simple.

Time-Warner owns Google
Time-Warner owns Google: Well, they own a billion dollars worth of Google stock, that is... I've no idea of the significance, but that's enough to keep me in burritos & cerveza for life....

And Google owns youtube, so it's just becoming a part of the corporate media...............
