A moment of pure grace, Bobby Kennedy announces the death of Martin Luther King Jr. in Indianapolis to a predominantly African American crowd. The night of Dr. King's assassination many cities saw looting. Indianapolis was quiet.

3. Kathleen Kennedy (Townsend) talked about this moment Tuesday night

She is a brilliant speaker. I wish somebody had shot a video. To the best of my knowledge, nobody did.

R!

4. He was at his best speaking straight from his heart.
Sorenson's speeches for JFK always had too much purple prose for me, as do his speeches for Obama. But Bobby, speaking off cuff, had a simplicity and nobility that was hard to beat.

I was in Nashville which had riots and came under martial law that night.
RFK's speech made a profound difference in the country as his words and tone spread. Thank you for this tribute.

Recommended.

8. This is an amazing speech
RFK can quote poetry from memory. George Bush cannot even pronounce nuclear.

9. Hmm! White people killed Martin Luther King.
A white man killed Kennedy -- per these spontaneous comments by Robert F. Kennedy. So that was his understanding at that time.

10. Never Forget
I was a young boy when this happened.

I am now a man.

I pray for redemption and peace as a nation and I hope to see it in my lifetime.
