For all who missed it. A nice lil' speech on what we're facing as citizens.

2. How Much to the Point
can a person be about how the shitheads running the corporations and those like them are screwing the people of not just the USA but the World?!!!!

And so many people believe the money & power hungry demons! They go home and stare at the TV, mesmerized, and believe that this is it! this is the Great Life that America gives! No exploration, no critical thinking, no behaving outside of the definitions set down by the religions and corporations.

I grew up in Catholic schools. What got me thinking was a TV series called Cosmos hosted by Carl Sagan, and the book that went along with it. We need another person like him to champion reason, logic, and independent thought.

3. Great stuff.
Carlin nails it. Like Carlin says, the "owners" of this country don't want citizens capible of critical thinking. If we did, we might think more deeply about the fact that the lower class slaves day in and day out just to feed thier families, while an athlete gets paid millions to catch a baseball. Why we celebrate columbus day in honor of a man who was responsible for the death of thousands in the most brutal way. Why Joe Schmo from nowheres-ville USA can get jailtime for just about anything, and the President can walk away unscathed after commiting war crimes. Why the wealthy get the special treatment and the poor get a military brochure. But as long as we have our Xbox and Plenty of Celebrities to gossip about, why think?

4. and when people do wake up and start to think
the family thinks they're crazy. Next thing ya know, they're taking some antidepressant and don't give a care about anything but watching tv again.
