Why Wasn't the Brass Made to Answer & Pay for Abu Ghraib? Lynndie is Mentally Slow, A Real Grunt... in all senses of the word.

She's the kind of cannon fodder the military loves to get and use, she's dumb and wants so badly to please, she's still trying to excuse not really so much herself but the military.

She believes -- wrongly as we know, but she believes it -- the tactics they were using would have worked and saved lives.

And I hate to differ with KO, but she didn't take those pictures of herself.

Grenier her superior in rank, made her think he loved her, told her to do this hideous stuff and he took the pictures.

There was another female soldier involved only she was pretty and didn't get near the negative news coverage as Lynndie, and I think besides less public scorn, she got less punishment time.

But the military brass who are responsible for ALL of this, for the most part walked away -- oh, yes they took one female officer to task -- someone who said she was being pressured to produce info and used techniques that had been allowed in Afghanistan unanctioned there in Iraq.

The whole thing is monstrous and stinks, but KO must be having a slow week to bring Lynndie back out to use as a whipping girl!

6. K&R. KO was absolutely right on today.

I especially liked his rant that followed this, the numerous and changing reasons for this unconscionable invasion... ;(
