1. Darryl, you can't expect people on a political website to pay attention for 10 whole minutes! nt

2. I did. He speaks the truth and I want to hear more.
I am white and I heard NO racism in this video either. None.
It is way past the time for people to speak up on the terrorism the United States visits and has visited on this country and other countries and people the world over for over 200 years.

This country was founded by people trying to escape terrorism. Yet they continued by murdering the people here before us to take over their land. They continued by kidnapping people from Africa to do the hard back breaking work in this country.
This country was founded on terror and has practiced it ever since.

11. I heard racism.
But it wasn't coming from from Wright. He was merely reporting on the racist wars the U.S. is infamous for waging. This is a serious man of peace. If you're not angry, you're not paying attention.

16. Wow - Jerimiah Wright is actually pretty cool!
That's the first time I've seen his stuff in context, and I gotta say, Obama has good taste in his choice of ministers!!

17. You are correct. I was led to expect Rev Wright was saying racist stuff.
He was speaking the truth about our history and that upsets people.

4. Amazing but not surprising
How easy it is to demonize somebody with a phrase taken completely out of context. I'd like to see the God Damn America sermon.

6. Way too much truth, too much history. They are panicking that maybe Obama
can clearly see that same truth -- we have to see it and speak it aloud so that it is a surprise to no one.

This was so moving, especially towards the end when he talks about
9-11.

12. Jesus H. Christ, I am ASTONISHED at how stupid people are
and how utterly wicked the MSM is.

I cannot even believe what they are doing, and that we're all f*cking falling for it.

You know, I was really naive enough to think that this kinda thing wouldn't work any more. Damn was I wrong, and Damnation am I sick.

13. I don't think it will be that way. Not this time.

Not everyone is ready but there are a whole lot more people open to hearing the truth now than there has been. No one is so clairvoyant to know the final outcome, and least of all the cock-sure and spiteful. Let's keep pushing this out there. In a fight or a wrestling match, one person can seem like they're in real trouble when they're underneath an opponent. But things can quickly be turned on their head. We've got a real fighter in Obama, there's no giving up now. We can do it.

18. You gotta love it...He quotes an interview of a white ambassador aired on Fox
and they run that clip over and over again as if it's his words.

The MSM is criminal.

19. It's a crying shame Sen. Obama had to distance himself
from this man and denounce his words to save his political life from the attack dogs of the MSM. Minus the biblical references, I didn't hear Rev. Wright say anything I haven't been reading and/or posting on this message board and other liberal/progressive boards for years.

Fuck the mainstream media, those corporate pandering whores. We should all be distancing ourselves from THEM.

21. Agreed, but the courage that Obama showed in not "disowning" him was tremendous
He was bold in his speech and has taken heat from it, but now as other things come to light, it just shows how honest he is, and how unwilling he is to throw someone under the bus for political expediency.

22. Very true. He showed me alot about his character in that
speech as well as his courage and his keen insight into a complex issue. It would be wonderful to have an intelligent person in the White House again. Before that speech, I was a reluctant Obama supporter as my choices 1 and 2 had dropped out. But now, I feel really good that Obama is our front runner. I have some of that excitement back I had earlier in the primary season.

23. DOESN'T THIS TAKE THE CAKE!! FauxNews is full of CRAP!! How dare they
play this ad infinitum and not attribute the quote to their own show rather than implying Rev. Wright made them up.

Amb. Edward Peck was exactly right!
