He asked her to produce a statement specifically in regard to white people...she went to the one about AIDS, but...when Sharpton called her on the wording, she had to admit it was Government...and she hesitated a second before "Government"...because she had probably automatically associated "Government" with "white"...

Very telling about the whole makeup of our socio-political structure.

I haven't listened to every Wright sermon that is out there, but what I have heard doesn't seem too big a deal. Preachers often go over the top for effect -- just as politician are wont to do. We should judge Obama based on what Obama says. Rev. Wright can speak for himself.

24. Wow. And I am not a huge fan of Rev. Sharpton

But that was masterful. As the kids say "he pwned her." He drew a very clear and very real distinction between comments directed at "the government" and comments directed at a race or gender group AND challenged the idea that ANY attack or negative comment about HRC is automatically a sexist statement, or an attack on her gender. That distinction is real and relevant.

I also noticed that Greta's idea that Rev. Wright's statements were directed at "white people", clearly implied that she sees no distinction between "white people" and "the government." In other words white people are the governing body and every one else is not. Suffering from White Privilege Syndrome much?
