37. Chris is a loose cannon and you never know where he is going to come down
Thank the lucky stars he came down on the right side of this one. I think it has something to do with how popular Olberman and his show is. If his plane isn't blown up in mid air or something equally bad Obama will be our next president. There is something diabolically sinister about the pugs and their hold on the strings of power that is insanely criminal.

3. Just last week he was blabbing about why Gore lost...
Which he actually won. Tweets was talking about how Gore lied about creating the Internet. We all know that Gore wrote up and sponsored the legislation to make the internet technology available to the public.

Tweets was also slobbering over McCain on Friday.

Tweety is crap.

4. Richardson endorsing Obama: "It's the only moving moment I've ever had in politics"
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 09:45 PM by housewolf
Quote from a woman who saw the endorsement speech in a McDonalds w/ 2 black men.

"It's not important about the politics of the Clinton Family now, what people owed them or their sense of entitlement. What is important is the feelings of the American people" when they see you standing next to Obama, with your different backgrounds, It's a stunnig picture. What is important now is the country. We've been talking about this like it's a sitcom." - Tweety

Tweety also says the Clintons are like a soap opera, we've had enough of the soap opera, what we need to be talking about is not what Hillary said to Bill Richardson when he called, but the what is happening all over America when people see Obama & Richardson standing together. We need to be talking about what's important - Iraq - what matters is what he has to say about the future of the country.

Wow. Is it possible that Tweety's had a conversion of sorts? Time will tell...

5. I VOTED FOR BILL CLINTON TWICE - THEY JUST PISSED ME OFF ROYALLY THIS YEAR
I have every right as a 36 year member of the Democratic Party to go for someone else.

If they want to save their credibility and legacy, Hillary should bow out as gracefully as possible.

Especially after the "4 Pinnochio" job on Bosnia - which matches her claims on No. Ireland, NAFTA, etc.

Time for something new.

I earned that right by supporting the Democratic Party and many presidential candidates as a volunteer over the years.

The Clinton's are not 'entitled' to the Presidency.

12. Richardson Endorsement Timing Ironic & Contradicts Super Delegate Logic
It seems just way too politically contrived in relation to the timing of Bill Richardson announcement to divert attention away from Obama's former Pastor Wright racial firestorm. Governor Richardson statement about the timing appeared weak and unconvincing, especially under the circumstances of vacation and coincidental Obama poll numbers plummeting. Most strategic statements in a political campaign are timed to be void of any conflict with other major events or media headlines that would dilute their importance or strategic impact - unless that was exactly what the Richardson endorsement was strategically timed to do - divert public attention which seems more in line with the political reality.

Then there is the other issue of the state of New Mexico which already voted and all the other states with large hispanic voting blocks (California, Florida, Texas, Arizona), already voted except Puerto Rico, which votes last on June 20th. The fact that New Mexico was won by Hillary Clinton also raises political speculation that New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson does NOT intend to vote with the will of the people or the pledged delegates - another Obama double standard that stinks to the very ugly core of the Obama campaign of change and integrity holier than thou .

What the Obama campaign does so deceptively is hide behind this "change candidate" demagogue mantra of integrity and pure forthright leadership and judgment which is NOT how the Obama campaign or the candidate conduct themselves in real world implications- with the likes of Antoin Rezko corrupt campaign funding for years and several Obama's previous elections and now the radical racial extremist Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former Pastor who performed Obama's wedding, meanwhile denouncing America and the principles of the United States with the likes of Pastor Wright's now famous "God Damn America" sermons inciting a radically distinct racial divide that Obama uses selectively while politically posturing in such a hypocritical demagogue fashion.

22. "Richardson does NOT intend to vote with the will of the people or the pledged delegates"
Ummm... that's exactly what Richardson has done... put his support behind the elected pledged delegate leader -- given the fact that HC cannot catch Obama in that category. And the elected pledged delegates reflects the will of the voters.

The whole third paragraph is assumed to be merely a rant.

30. I'd call a 49% to a 48% win on the fence in New Mexico..
Gov.Richardson can make his own decision. As for Rezko and
Wright, I think we have heard enough about them and if this is
all the "otherside" can come up with then Obama's
path is pretty clear to the presidency. There is a lot that
Senator Clinton hasn't put on the table that the GOP's could
possibly use against her.

48. Freeper Alert
"another Obama double standard that stinks..."

what exactly does Richardson's endorsement have to do with any kind of double standard on Obamas part?

what does Wright's words in which BTW he does NOT denounce America, but rather the government of America, have to do with the Obama campaign? Other than the hyperbole you freepers try and make of it?

why is it not 'the will of the people' to vote with the majority of the TOTAL ?

Good luck with McInsane.

36. Much as I agree with Matthews on this, I still have
little respect for him. After all, it was Matthews who did more crotch sniffing than almost anyone during the Clinton administration; it was Matthews who allowed people to come on his show and, uncontested, accuse the Clintons of murder and rape; it was Matthews who continued that tradition when he started attacking Gore, who was a Clinton-by-Proxy; it was Matthews who helped debase political discourse and political culture.

So he's right: they need to stop covering the personal sitcoms and start covering the news and policy. But it's really a case of physician, heal thyself. He was noble in the Valerie Plame-Wilson case. It is time to start being noble on far more things.

38. Chris Matthews is a selective douchebag
Chris picks and chooses when he's going to rise above the fray (in this case, when the other pundits have talked about the Clintons and Richardson's phone call and what Carvill said), but he'll turn right around and talk about the same trivial BS being discussed here. It's all about ratings.

If Chris was more consistent, I'd have more respect for him. But I don't. Maybe what he said here is something I certainly agree with, but are we going to see this seeming heartfelt sentiment from Chris actually happen through the course of the election season in regards to the MSM?

Hell no.

The whole panel looked like Matthews had just changed in Mr. Hyde.

I think Matthews just had an Irish Catholic moment. He will probably come to his senses.

For the record, he didn't excoriate the Clintons so much as he crucified the press for always focusing on "How does this affect the Clintons?" "How did the Clintons react?" "What did Hillary say on the phone?" "Was she a bitch?"

50. SCHIZOPHRENIA AT IT'S WORST
First of all you are a fool if you believe anything Chris Matthews says about any Democrat, especially a Clinton. He gets a hard-on (non-sexual) every time Hillary's name is mentioned. This diatribe is typical of his bias. And don't kid yourself that he is supporting Obama because McCain is his second choice as a "noble" American right after Bush. The guy's nuts.

Actually, Richardson's endorsement of Obama substantiates the independence of the super delegates to support a candidate other than the one their constituents may have chosen. The Obamabrats argue that Clinton just narrowly beat Obama in New Mexico so it's alright thus imposing different rules when it suits them. That's exactly what Obama is accusing the Clinton camp of doing. I hope that's not an example of Obama's future leadership skills.
