23. I don't think we do get it!
If we did the occupation would have been over three or four years ago, Bu$hCo would have been run out of town on a rail, directly to the Hague for some quality time with the International Criminal Court (ICC). Never to be seen again except on some documentary about fascist war criminals. Good on Mr Donahue for reminding us all again! (BTW, I say we as in the country as a whole.)

one of the few with balls enough to call bullshit on Bu$h's phony invasion and occupation.

3. Thank you Mr.Donahue
I wish there were more people like Mr.Donahue out there telling the truth as he does. There seems to be too few people of influence willing to speak out against this tragedy.Phil Donahue's' opinions cost him his television show.Corporate doesn't like it when you insist on having principles. If only there had been twenty more people of influence not willing to sacrifice their morals to tow the corporate line,we may have been able to avoid this neocon disaster.

7. Phil's always been cool.
I'm glad he didn't sell out to run for high office. Although I thought he was going to make a run for the pres. in 1988 or 1992. At least there was talk of it

25. They Could Even Give Him A Studio Audience
Which would make the show sound unique. I was hoping that when Franken left, they'd hire Phil.

12. Phil should have his own TV show again!
This is why progressives need their own network. A high profile network.

15. right on,
faux has their own channel, we need a lot of these interesting and talented folks to get together and all agree to each do a weekly 30 minute show for a progressive station on TV! I'd love to see politician types (Edwards), authors, and entertainment types. I mean, I'd watch a Rosie show. It'd be a great station.

17. I remember being at work right before the war
and asking what if there are no WMD's. The reaction of my co-workers was over the top. They seemed angry and treated me as if I was nuts for thinking such a thing. I realized that day there was something seriously wrong w/ the discourse in this country.

18. The only thing I take issue with ...
is his statement that the American people are "waking-up" - I don't see that. I still see a majority of people as brain-dead comatose lemmings. Now whether this is the fault of the media he's expounding upon or a combination of influences is debatable but what I'm experiencing is that most are running from the truth.

There is one other naive statement in that he hoped that the media would of learned a lesson about their coverage of Iraq - the only lesson they'll learn is how to better spin the lies they do, but as far as them becoming more ethical, that you can forget.

20. That's my network!
Just FYI - the Real News is new network building on the monthly contributions of it's viewers. Lots of good people involved: Phil, Naomi Klein, Laura Flanders, Eric Margolis, Stephen Gray (Ghost Plane) etc.

They are looking for just $10.00/month from supporters to build this corporate-free news network - soon to be on cable!

I've been a $10/monther for about 9 months now.
